A lifelong resident of Chicago’s South Side, Mr Jimmy has spent decades living and breathing the blues. As founder and frontman of The Chicago Kingsnakes, he has performed over 4,000 shows and shared the stage with icons including Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, Junior Wells, James Cotton, and many more.

Since relocating to Asheville in 2018, Mr Jimmy has become one of the region’s most respected blues performers. In 2025, he was voted one of the Best Blues Performers by readers of Mountain Xpress for the fourth year in a row.

Known for his powerful guitar work, soulful vocals, and deep connection to blues tradition, Mr Jimmy delivers performances that are both historically rich and emotionally charged. This is a rare chance to experience true Chicago blues in an intimate pub setting.
