Describing their sound as “bayou yacht funk,” Commander Voodoo blends original music, deep grooves, jazz rock influences, and funky New Orleans-inspired arrangements influenced by artists like The Meters, Dr. John, Steely Dan, JJ Grey & Mofro, and The Neville Brothers.

Fronted by Louisiana-born keyboardist and songwriter D. R. Commander, the band delivers high-energy performances packed with soulful vocals, funky rhythms, improvisation, and dance-floor-ready grooves perfect for a Saturday night at Shamrock Irons.
